Low-Cost Powered Dust Helmet
You don't have to wear a battery pack on your belt to power this new dust helmet and it'll cost you a lot less than other models, according to Mike Nelson of Airware America, distributor of the popular Racal dust helmets which have been on the market for more than 20 years.

Low-Cost Powered Dust Helmet CROP STORAGE Miscellaneous 20-2-38 You don't have to wear a battery pack on your belt to power this new dust helmet and it'll cost you a lot less than other models, according to Mike Nelson of Airware America, distributor of the popular Racal dust helmets which have been on the market for more than 20 years.
Nelson has sold thousands of the original Racal dust helmets at more than $300 apiece, and they're still on the market. But he says his new model, which retails for just $129, is ideal for "light users" who don't need a helmet every day. "Heavier users" will probably still want to look at the more expensive model, which has a larger filter and battery pack.
On Airware's new self-contained powered helmet, the filter, rechargeable battery pack, and fan are all housed in the compartment above the large clear visor.
"It protects your eyes and face from flying debris and keeps out dust and pollen.
