He Raises Garlic With Thick Plastic Sheets CROPS New Crops 30-1-41 I raise garlic by laying out thick plastic sheets, which were actually used originally to grow strawberries in vertical columns. The berries grew out of the holes in the side of the column. I just spread the plastic out flat on the ground and then plant a single garlic clove into each hole.
