Metal Tray Mounts On Top Of Welder WELDERS/TORCHES Welders/Torches 27-3-36 Jackson Webb, Bethune, Colo.: "The top of our Lincoln MIG welder was always cluttered with tools, gloves, helmets, and so forth, making it impossible to raise the side panels and get into the welder to change wire spools. Also, whenever the welder was rolled across the shop floor the tools would vibrate off. To solve the problem I designed and built a metal tray that mounts on top of the welder. The tray holds the gloves, tools, etc., yet still allows me to raise the welder's side panels without interference. I also made places to hang the helmet and welder leads."
"The tray measures 12 by 18 in. with 4-in. sides. It's welded to a vertical length of 1-in. sq. tubing that bolts onto a bracket that's clamped to the front side of the welder. The tray mounts high enough above the welder that when the side panels are opened up they will clear it."
