"Clean Finish" Box-Type Manure Scraper MANURE HANDLING Equipment 22-5-27 This push and pull, box-type scraper can handle both dry and liquid.
"It's a low-cost alternative to expensive automatic scraping systems," says the inventor.
The Maxiscrape can be 3-pt. mounted on a tractor or attached to the front of a skid steer loader. It's equipped with two steel blades, one in front and one at the back. The blades have rubber squeegee edges that pivot into the scraper. As the operator backs up the tractor the weight of manure against the front blade causes it to angle backward, creating an open area along the floor where manure can enter the box. The rear blade remains vertical, trapping the manure inside the box.
A pair of steel arms extend backward above the box and put pressure on the blades to en-sure a clean finish. The side panels are free to swivel independently on uneven surfaces. Available in 6, 6 1/2, and 7-ft. widths. A 7 ft. wide unit sells for about $1,500. Contact: FARM SHOW Followup, Yardscrapers UK, 82, Cheetham Meadow, Leyland, Lancs., England PR5 3UA (ph and fax 0177
