Leaf Picker-Upper from Old Toro 5HP Blower-Vac Machine FARM HOME Miscellaneous 14-6-35 I made this leaf "picker upper" from an old Toro 5 hp. blower-vac machine. The trailer was built using a Crosley car rear end. The blower mounts on the front end of the trailer. I attached a 24-in. length of 4-in. dia. stove pipe to the side outlet of the mower deck on my 16-hp. riding mower. Flexible tubing runs from the pipe to the blower-vac, which blows the leaves up into the trailer. I unload the trailer with a tarp that lays flat on the floor and runs up the front of the trailer. I pull on a rope attached to the top end of the tarp and pull it out the back. (Carl Park, 1310 East 6th St., Hobart, Ind. 46342)
