Bakc saving truck lift TRUCKS Accessories 13-1-23 This nifty back saver is designed to allow one person to lift heavy loads onto pickup beds without the use of expensive hydraulics.
It consists of a curved metal frame covered with lightweight metal mesh. The frame pivots on a pin at the rear of the pickup bed. In its down position, it rests on the ground, making it easy to drag or roll a heavy object onto it.
The frame is lifted up to the level of the bed by pulling down on the lever-lifter above one corner. You can pull on it either manually or with a hand-cranked winch attached to the pickup bed. Inventor Sam Cooke also put a wrap-around rope winch on one of the rear wheels so that he can lift heavy loads simply by driving slowly ahead, dragging the lift frame.
