Pet Pole Frees up Tethered Dogs FARM HOME Miscellaneous 12-4-30 "Dogs love it," says the manufacturer of a new "pet pole" for dogs that gives free movement over a 360? area, eliminating problems with tangled ropes or chains.
The new Liberty Leash consists of a super strong bendable nylon-fiberglass swivel pole and a long length of woven steel cable. You stake the base of the pole securely to the ground and attach the free end of the cable to the dog's collar.
"When a dog is tied to a regular rope or chain leash, he gets jerked back hard when he runs to the end of it, and often the rope ends up between his legs. When he reaches the end of the Liberty Leash, the pole begins to bend, signaling to the animal that he can't go any further," says manufacturer Red Robbins of the Robbins-Terry Co.
The leash comes in both light and heavy models for dogs up to 40 or 125 lbs., respectively. Both models give the dog a 24 ft. dia. circle of movement and sell for $29.95.
