Combine Pickup Sweeps The Swath

"Conventional pickups can leave 10 to 15% of the swath on the ground. The Rake-Up's sideways sweeping action picks up the swath allowing you to go faster, yet pick up all of the swath," reports Friesen.
The pickup works much like a side-mounted rake lying on its side. In place of solid belting, there are six individual hard plastic sections with plastic teeth that sweep the ground in a sideways motion to pick up the swath.
Friesen says the rig's slower turning speed combined with the side-motion of the fingers at the bottom of the sweep causes less flipping action, resulting in less stones in your grain.
The Rake-Up has been field-tested at 8-mph while turning at 80 rpms. Initially, the pickup is available in 10-ft. widths. Power's supplied by the combine's drive system.
