Barn In A Barn CROPS New Crops 12-4-20 A "barn in a barn" lets Greg and Tammy Millerschone take their young children to "work" with them every morning and evening.
"Work" is milking cows inside the farm family's dairy barn. They don't worry at all about their youngsters Tyler (3 years) and Leslie (10 mos.) because they know they're safe inside the one-of-a-kind "playbarn" Greg built at one end of the barn.
The 8 by 6-ft. mini-barn, which stands 6 ft. tall, is located inside one of the barn's calf pens. Windows in the sides let both parents and kids keep an eye on each other. The playbarn is equipped with a mattress for naps, a heater for winter, and a fan for summer. It's paneled and carpeted.
"The kids enjoy watching the cows and we feel good knowing they're safe. Greg built the playbarn in two halves so we can easily take it outside when the children get older," Tammy told FARM SHOW.
