He can handle up to 1-ton big round bales with his Scout. Soon to come is a commercially-available heavier duty loader for 1 and 2 ton pickups that will handle the largest big round bales, stacking them two high on top of a flatbed
Hanson built the loader using lift arms from a Farmhand loader, widened out to fit the front of the vehicle. He powers the loader with hydraulics salvaged from a junked 100 hp Case tractor.
