No Power Backhoe Fits Any Skid Steer MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT Earth Movers 20-5-29 "We field-tested it for four years so we know how well it works," says Randy Lackender of Lackender Fabrications, about his new Skid-Digger backhoe that fits on any skid steer loader and requires no auxiliary hydraulics.
The Skid-Digger simply bolts in place of the bucket. The angle of the backhoe is set with a pin. "Over 90 percent of digging is done in one position. To change the angle for straightening a back wall or to dig deeper, you just pull a pin and shorten the linkage," says Lackender.
If you have auxiliary hydraulics on your skid steer, you can use a regular 8-in. stroke cylinder on the bucket.
Sells for $684 with a 15-in. bucket and $654 with an 8-in. bucket. You can buy an extra 15-in. ($154) or 8-in. ($124) bucket. Buckets have a hardened steel cutting edge. Optional teeth are also available for $100.
