McKee has introduced American-made replacement gathering chains for older-style and A series row crop heads that are reportedly of the same quality, have the same specs and same warranty as Deere's but sell for much less.
"Farmers are used to paying a dealer price of right at $95 per chain ($190 per row)," says Brown. "Our prices are $77.95 per chain-$155.90 per row)ùfor A series chains. This makes the chain replacement cost for a 6-row head $935.40-a $204.60 saving over local dealer costs."
McKee's chain prices for older-style series heads are $87.95 per chain.
Chains come complete with belting, ready-to-install and freight is free, says Brown.
