A California inventor says he's solved the storage problem by building an ironing board that turns into a chair in its "off hours".
"You can set it in the bedroom, kitchen, den or anywhere else and simply fold it out when you need to iron. It doesn't have to be hauled around when you need it and, when it's not in use, it makes a dandy chair," says Iry Schwartz, inventor-
manufacturer.
The foam-padded ironing board measures 43 in. by 13 in. It folds from an ironing board into a comfortable chair in less than 10 sec. It has a washable fabric covering that comes in a variety of colors. The framework is made of white pvc tubing.
The board sells for $49.95.
