Hitch For Deere Drills With Dolly Wheels DRILLS Drills (42C) 20-2-28 "Our hitch allows you the flexibility either to remove the dolly wheels completely or keep them on and use them for transport. For transport, you simply reattach the tongue portion of the hitch to the dolly wheel pedestal and swing the hitch out of the way," says Greg Herbold, Terra Tech Industries, about a hitch he invented for Deere 750 15-ft. drills equipped with dolly wheels.
The "TerraTach" hitch was introduced at the National Farm Machinery Show at Louisville, Ky. It will be marketed through Deere dealers.
It takes weight off dolly wheels and keeps them from causing ruts and compaction on soft ground. It attaches to the drill by re-moving three bolts in the back of the hitch, sliding the U-shaped bracket directly over the face of the dolly wheel pedestal, then rebolting it.
The hitch doesn't add length to the drill's tongue. Instead, it offsets the tractor from the drill's tongue when turning to provide a tighter turning radius.
It's designed to attach to all wide and narrow quick couplers.
Sells for $1,200. (Drawbar-style hitch sells for $1,000.)
