Gravity-Powered Grain Spreader GRAIN HANDLING Accessories 3-2-3 "It doesn't cost anything to run and damages less grain then powered spreaders," says Wayne Kobb, sales representative for National Equipment, Valparaiso, Ind., about his company's new Spin-Level grain spreader.
The spreader spins on permanently lubricated nylon bearings at a rate determined by the volume and weight of grain entering the bin. No power or maintenance is required and the spreader doesn't damage grain, according to Kobb.
"The speed of the rotor adjusts to the volume of grain input; from a small dribble to the output of a 10 in. auger. Its oval shape varies the width and diameter of the spread as it turns, leveling grain in the bin," says Kobb.
The Spin-Level will spread 2800 bu. of grain per hour in bins up to 40 ft. in dia. Sells for about $92.
