Add-On, Two Wheel Front Bike Axle FARM HOME Miscellaneous 10-6-31 You can make a 3-wheel bike out of any ordinary 2-wheeler with a new conversion kit developed by a California manufacturer.
The add-on front axle simply bolts to the frame of the bike. The front wheel is used as one of the front tires and a wheel that comes with the kit is used on the other side. The front fork bolts to steering rods on the add-on axle so that the bike still steers like an unmodified 2-wheeler. The company is developing fenders for the bike which will allow mounting of caliper-type brakes found on 5 and 10-speeds. Or, you can use the rear brake alone.
The add-on kit is designed for 20 and 26-in. bikes and sells for around $125, including the extra rim and tire.
