Window Ventilator FARM HOME Cars 17-4-32 Inventor Robert Birt developed a neat window ventilator that lets him keep a car or pickup window partially open ù without letting in flies, mosquitoes or intruders.
Dubbed "the fly and skeeter cheater," the ventilator is made of two layers of screen ù a lightweight screen to keep out insects and a heavier tamper-resistant screen to discourage would-be intruders. For manually operated door locks, an adjustable arm swings down to hold the lock in the locked position.
"The ventilator comes in real handy if your dog is along for the ride on a hot day. He can be secured inside the cab with the doors locked and a window left half open for ventilation, yet locked and screened to deter insects and intruders," explains Birt.
