Cultivator Row Guide CULTIVATORS Cultivators (58C) 18-2-40 A number of different row guidance systems have come on the market over the past few years, but this simple "no cost" idea may be all you need for worry-free cultivating.
David Hegland, McCallsburg, Iowa, made an adjustable row guide out of tube steel and steel rod. It bolts to the front of his tractor - he attaches it to a home-built rock box - and extends ahead and to the right of the tractor where it's easily visible from the cab. The operator just keeps one row between the tines on the upside down "fork" to stay on the row. The fork can be easily shifted back and forth for various row widths and raised or lowered for different plant heights.
