"They outlast conventional bulbs 3¢ to 5 times, withstand vibrations and they won't break or burn out if water is splashed on them," notes Donald Haugen, distributor. "The bulbs are coated and will continue to burn even if you dipped a hot, lighted bulb into a pail of ice water."
In hog barns, for example, you can hose down the walls and ceiling with a high pressure washer without having to worry about spraying water on hot, lighted ceiling bulbs. Trouble lights equipped with Duro-test bulbs don't have to be handled with kid gloves, thanks to extra vibration and shock resistance built into the tough-built bulbs, Haugen points out.
