Good Morning Toast Stamp FARM HOME Novelty Items 7-1-30 Thanks to Toastmark, a new-style branding iron developed by Jim Bever, Bloomington, Minn., you can imprint slices of toast with a "good morning" greeting.
The Toastmark, made from aluminum and shaped the size of a slice of bread, has raised reversed letters that spell out "good morning". You simply press the Toastmark onto a slice of bread and then put the stamped slice of bread (but not the Toastmark branding iron) in the toaster. Presto! When the bread pops up, the "good morning" greeting stands out loud and clear. You can use it to brand French toast by pressing the stamp on after the bread has been dipped in batter and fried in the frying pan.
Bever says Toastmark works on plain bread without toasting for making up "good morning" sandwiches. "It doesn't work on dark bread because of the lack of contrast between the toasted and indented portions," Bever points out.
Toastmark will soon be available in cookware and department stores.
