“Best Buy” Bad Boy Mower HAY & FORAGE HARVESTING Mowers 38 Lee deVries Crawfordsville Ore : “I couldn’t be happier with a product than I’ve been with my American-made Bad Boy zero-turn mower www badboymowers com; ph 866-622-3269 They make mowers from small walk-behinds to large commercial diesel-powered mowers I spent a lot of time looking at various brands of mowers before deciding that Bad Boy was the best-built in my opinion “My choice was the Rogue model with a 61-in deck and a 35-hp Kawasaki engine There were three deck and five engine options to choose from Having a suspension system rather than just attaching the frame to the axle makes for a great ride The deck is made of 1/4 and 3/8-in steel Since this is probably my last mower I decided to load it up with accessories such as an advanced chute system with a flip of a lever you can keep from blowing grass all over your wife’s flower beds power deck lift suspension seat assist handle for easy on and off hard top cover tool storage tray trailer hitch and chrome wheel covers Since it has dual exhaust I added chrome tips “To keep the rear wheels from throwing grass on the deck I fabricated a set of fenders that work quite well I got that idea from a previous FARM SHOW article “The mower has a 2-in receiver on front I welded a piece of 2-in tubing onto a trailer tongue jack When it’s time to sharpen the blades I just plug it in and crank it up for easy access “We have quite a lot of what used to be pasture to mow plus 158 cedar trees that are from 3 to 12 years old to mow around I used to do the job with an IH Cub Lo-Boy equipped with a 5-ft belly-mount mower The Bad Boy has cut the time to less than half and is much more agile so one can get closer to things resulting in a nicer look ”
