"I designed it and had it custom-built for $300, including labor," Zimmer told FARM SHOW.
The cylinder is used only to lift and to fold the rear arm. The arm fits through the front door when folded, then lifts up against the rafter. Adjustable for different sizes and heights of huts, the hut-mover can also be used to move the newer round steel huts.
"It can lift 1,000 lbs. or more, which is enough to pull huts out of frozen ground, when needed. There are other lifting uses for it, too," says Zimmer. "Easily adapts to fit most popular makes of tractors."
He's looking for a manufacturer to produce the mover.
