Reach Arm FARM SHOP Miscellaneous 14-2-15 One of the handiest shop lights we've ever seen is the new Flex-Lite, invented and manufactured by a Nebraska farmer. The light has a long scissoring "reach arm" that carries a light and is also fitted with electrical lines and high-pressure air hose.
Larry Paschke, Aurora, Neb., built the firstFlex-Lite for his own use. It worked so well he decided to sell them. "It's built from steel so it's strong. It's also spring-loaded which makes it easy to move around yet it'll hold position wherever you put it."
The light has a hinging base plate that mounts on a wall or post. When not in use, the light folds up out of the way. In use, it reaches out up to 14 ft. and pivots 170? on the base plate. The high-power 300-watt light at the end also pivots as needed.
The arm is outfitted with a 300 psi air hose as well as a 12-ft. recoil air hose with a blogun at the end. It also has a 4-outlet supply box with a 15-amp circuit breaker.
