You Can't Miss This Farmer's Turn Signal TRACTORS Accessories 18-4-1 "One day an ag supply salesman followed me home and wanted to buy 200 of them," says Darrin Damrow, Wausau, Wis., about the "hard to miss" turn signal he designed (with the help of a friend who's an ag engineer) and built to mount on his farm tractor. It consists of a 4-ft. long piece of electrical conduit with a large wood arrow - painted red - mounted on the end of it. A red flasher light mounts at the end of the arrow. The conduit is hinged to the back corner of the cab so it can be tipped down by hand when needed. It's large enough to reach out beyond any trailing implements. When the arrow is down, the electrical circuit is completed to activate the light. "I have to move equipment on a heavily traveled high speed highway between my farms and make left turns. I wanted a left turn signal that would take some of the stress out of the turns for me and motorists," says Damrow. "I've used the signals for two seasons on my tractors and have gotten many favorable comments from motorists. Besides being easy for . motorists to see, it's easy for the tractor opera-tor to see if it's working and you don't have to hook up any wires to make it work like you do with remote lights that mount on implements. This is always in place ready to use because it mounts on the cab. "I don't have time to build these myself but would like to hear from any interested manufacturers."
