Dozer Ripper Makes Earth Moving Easier
Ray Van Donk called FARM SHOW recently to tell us about a modification he made to the 9-ft. dozer blade on his TD14 Cat bulldozer.
“It’s a very simple way to make it easier to dig into hard ground,” says Van Donk, who mounted chisel shanks behind the blade that automatically dig in when he’s backing up.

Dozer Ripper Makes Earth Moving Easier MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT Earth Movers Ray Van Donk called FARM SHOW recently to tell us about a modification he made to the 9-ft dozer blade on his TD14 Cat bulldozer “It’s a very simple way to make it easier to dig into hard ground ” says Van Donk who mounted chisel shanks behind the blade that automatically dig in when he’s backing up He first attached a heavy 4-in dia ½-in wall steel pipe behind the dozer blade Then he fitted 6 free-pivoting chisel shanks to the pipe facing backward “When backing up the shanks dig in as deep as 8 in loosening hard soil When going forward the shanks drag backward along the top of the ground with zero drag No hydraulics are needed at all ” says Van Donk noting that if the shanks aren’t needed they can be pivoted up out of the way Contact: FARM SHOW Followup Ray Van Donk 142 Mellorine Grand Prairie Texas 75051 ph 972 921-1636
