Self-Propelled Auger Loads Out Of Flat Storage GRAIN HANDLING Augers (4) 6-6-11 You've never seen anything quite like it ù a self-propelled grain auger that one person can move from bin to bin, including flat storage, in a matter of minutes. "Your wife or older children can operate it," says North Dakota farmer Vernon Erickson, of DeLamere, inventor-manufacturer. The hydraulic system which controls the unit is an engineering marvel. The operator can hydraulically raise or lower either end of the unit, thus eliminating the need for any manual positioning or jockeying. In flat storage, for example, the auger can be operated horizontally to load grain in or out of the farthest end (see photos). If you're loading grain out of flat storage into a semi, the auger will completely load the truck lengthwise without having to stop periodically to reposition the truck. Other key features include: • An 8 in. dia. standard auger (10 in. available on custom order). • Folds to 30 ft. length, 7 1/2 ft. height and 10 ft. width for transport or storage. • For flat storage, a hydraulically powered sweep cleans up all but a small amount of grain. The sweep is adjustable in length (8 to 14 ft.) in 1 ft. increments to match bin size. It folds alongside of the main auger for transport. •Maximum operating length fully extended is 70 ft. • Ground speed is infinitely variable from 0 to 20 mph. • Comes with an air cooled 35 hp Wisconsin engine and features hydrostatic drive on the front tricycle for maneuverability during positioning,and a lockout hub for towing.
