A long-time FARM SHOW contributor - and entertaining caller to our offices - died January 3, 2010 in Petersburg, Ind. Harry Lee was 88.

Harry Lee R.I.P. MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT Miscellaneous 34-3-5 A long-time FARM SHOW contributor - and entertaining caller to our offices - died January 3, 2010 in Petersburg, Ind. Harry Lee was 88.
We first ran into Harry about 18 years ago at an antique tractor show when he displayed side-by-side Farmall F-20's that he had doubled up without any welding or cutting. At that point, he already had nearly 50 other collectable tractors, including some that he had built from scratch, such as his 1922 Forman F-20 which was based on a photo of a prototype that was never marketed. He had other "made up" tractors based on prototypes or rare models that were practically impossible to find.
By far Harry's most famous creation was his "triple tractor hookup". It consisted of three Farmall F-30's on a frame with a single front axle and a single set of rear wheels. The tractors include models from 1937 to 1939 ( see Vol. 17, No. 4). The tractor appeared at shows across the Midwest and is still featured on our "Best of FARM SHOW Videos On DVD".
It made my day when Harry used to call with a new project or idea. No one was more enthusiastic about old tractors. He befriended many other editors across the country and his unusual creations frequently showed up on the covers of many publication
