Boil Square Eggs FARM HOME Food 3-3-27 New from Harper-Lee International is a sure-fire conversation piece for the breakfast table - a Cubit device that makes square eggs.
You simply boil an egg in the regular manner, then shell it. While it's still warm, you place it in the plastic caber and screw down the lid. This compresses the egg into a square or cube shape. You then put the Cubit. with the squeezed-down egg inside, into ice water or the freezer for about 10 minutes. The chilling process causes the egg to retain its square shape once the cubing device is removed. Once set by chilling, the egg will retain its square shape at room temperature for a day or more. If you have lots of company coming for breakfast, be sure to allow plenty time since, with chilling, it takes about 10 min. per egg for processing after the egg is hard boiled.
Square-shaped eggs not only are a good conversation piece, but they don't roll off the plate. And, their square shape makes them nice for slicing, the manufacturer notes. The cubing device can also be used as a square mold to cube deviled eggs, meat balls and other foodstuffs.
