Add-On Rotor Flights Boost Combine Performance COMBINES Accessories 31-5-35 These heavy-duty bolt-on rotor flights replace OEM impellers on IH and Case-IH combines, and can be installed without removing the rotor. Made and marketed by Kile Machine and Manufacturing, Inc., in Rosalia, Wash., these flights mount on specialty or standard rotors and are said to dramatically improve threshing performance. "I constructed these rotors on my farm because I didn't want to have to buy a complete new rotor assembly. Why replace everything when a simple bolt-on replacement flight was all that was necessary," says Ron Kile. "Besides using them ourselves, we've already marketed the flights for successful use in a variety of crops." The product is available in two styles. The 80 series fits 1480, 1680, 1688, 2188, and 2388 Case-IH combines and the 60 series fits 1440, 1460, 1660, and 2166 Case-IH combines. Because of the unique auger flight design, Kile Rotor Flights ensure that crop material efficiently spirals through the transition cone and reduces peak torque loads, allowing the operator to achieve higher ground speeds and extending the life of both the transition cone and the rotor belt. They also reduce gearbox loading and increase fuel efficiency, according to Kile. The replaceable, heat-treated, hardened impact wear plates are adjustable. The 80 Series kit includes two flights, two hardened wear plates and mounting hardware. It sells for $843 plus S&H.
