"The problem is that farmers are using bigger tractors to pull their disc mowers and the larger tires take up more cutting area," says Larry Ackerson. "The result is that 6 to 10 in. at the end of the cutter bar can't be used because it's directly behind the tire. This hitch gets the mower out from behind the tire. If your tractor has a quick hitch, you can hook up without getting off the tractor."
