Stabilizing Arch Holds Ladder FARM HOME Miscellaneous 27-1-35 Hundreds of inventors over the years have tried to build a ladder stabilizer that really works so you can quickly set up a ladder on even the roughest terrain.
The new "Pro Base" stabilizer looks like one of the best stabilizers we've seen. It consists of a metal arch and a couple sliding brackets that attach to the legs of the ladder. The arch is fitted with rubber-treaded feet.
When you set it up on uneven ground û or even on steps û the ladder self levels by adjusting it with one foot. Once in place on the arch, the ladder locks in place. There's a lock on each bracket which you tap with your toe to release. Fits most ladders û wood or aluminum û from 12 to 20 in. wide.
