The Lansing, Minn., farmer solved the problem by mounting a fifth wheel hitch on front of his GM 1/2-ton pickup.
"It's a lot easier to see what's going on when you can look through the windshield instead of into a mirror," says Bonnes.
The fifth wheel hitch - a commercial Reese model - bolts to the top of a rectangular frame. The frame bolts onto the chassis under the pickup's front bumper and to the bumper itself.
