Slick Way To Store Wagons WAGONS/TRAILERS Miscellaneous 24-3-8 "Shed space is at a premium on my place so less expensive equipment sits outside. I've come up with a way to stack my hay racks for winter storage that might be of interest to others," says Bob White, Euclid, Ohio.
"I made ramps by bolting two 4 by 4's together to make 4 by 8's. The wagon to be loaded is held in place with a "push pole" attached to another tractor. It's simply a 4 by 4 with a clevis at both ends. One end attaches to the tractor drawbar. The other end attaches to the wagon drawbar.
The wagon to be loaded is simply pushed up onto the stationary wagon with a skid loader. Then I chain the wagon down, move the ramps, and push the two wagons up onto a third wagon.
This method lets me store three wagons in the footprint of one. The whole process takes less than 30 min.
