"It lets you finish leveling off grain in trucks, drills, air seeders, semis, bins, etc., without having to climb down to shut off augers," says Dale Lasko, St. Brieux, Sask., noting that the remote receiver works from up to 100 ft. away.
The heart of the system is a control box that mounts on back of the truck and is wired to the truck's fusebox. The control box electronically controls a telescoping rod that's connected to a crossbar bolted onto the bottom of the endgate. When the cylinder is retracted the endgate raises up, and when it's extended the endgate is pushed down. There's up to 10 in. of up-or-down movement.
A toggle switch mounted on the control box lets you open or close the endgate without using the transmitter.
