Slick way to move round bale feeders LIVESTOCK Feeding Equipment 11-4-23 If you use round bale feeders to self feed big bales, you know what a chore it is to hand roll them through mud and manure from one location to the next.
There's an easier way, invented by brothers Jeff and Mark Dahl, of Montevideo, Minn. They've developed an attachment that bolts (via U-clamps) to the top of round bale feeders, allowing you to use your tractor loader to pick the feeder off dirty, wet ground and move it to dry ground ù without leaving the seat of your tractor. Resembling a camera tripod with a hook at the top, the attachment's six legs (5¢-ft. long) sprawl in or out to fit virtually any diameter feeder from 4 to 8 or more feet in dia.
