You extend the tape, press the tape lock button, and the measurement is automatically displayed on an LCD screen. For wall-to-wall measurement, the case length is added automatically to the measurement. For area calculation, simply input two measurement readings (length and height) and you'll get the answer immediately. For volume calculation, enter the third measurement (width). The volume of the object will be obtained instantaneously. To measure the area in a circle, measure the diameter and by a simple touch of a key you'll get the answer.
